When people ask me where to get the best sushi in Orlando, Sushi Saint is at the top of my list — and the critics agree.
Central Florida's first hand-roll bar
Opened in late 2023 in Creative Village downtown, Sushi Saint introduced Orlando to the temaki (hand-roll) bar: a 12-seat counter where chefs build warm, cone-shaped rolls in front of you, one at a time. The details matter here — the nori is sourced from a small purveyor in Tokyo, and the rice is Japanese Koshihikari — because a great hand roll lives or dies on texture and timing.
A Michelin pedigree
Sushi Saint earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand — the guide's nod to exceptional quality and value — in both 2024 and 2025. It comes from chef Michael Collantes of 86 Hospitality, whose Winter Park omakase restaurant, Soseki, holds a Michelin star. In 2024 he added a nine-seat, twelve-course omakase experience at Sushi Saint as well, complete with curated sake pairings.
What to order
Standout rolls have included aburi-style scallop with brown butter, snow crab with truffle and finger lime, and torched miso-marinated salmon. It's refined but genuinely fun — upscale without a hint of pretense.
A brand on the rise
Sushi Saint has been expanding across Central Florida, with new concepts in the works — a sign of just how quickly Orlando's food scene is maturing. Sharing places like this is one of my favorite parts of what I do: anyone can sell you a house, but I'd rather help you actually live here. Reach out and I'll share my full list of favorites — and help you find a home close to all of it.
