About Runway to Hope
Runway to Hope is a Central Florida nonprofit founded in 2010 by Mark and Josie NeJame, dedicated to supporting local children and families battling pediatric cancer. What makes it special is that the funds stay local — directly assisting families and the pediatric cancer units at Central Florida's children's hospitals, including Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, AdventHealth for Children, and Nemours Children's Hospital.
A night of hope
The organization's signature event is its annual Spring Soirée at Rosen Shingle Creek — an elegant gala where children who are currently battling or have overcome cancer walk the runway alongside celebrity escorts, paired with dinner, live entertainment, and an auction. It's as moving as it is glamorous, and it has raised millions for families in our community; the 2023 gala alone brought in more than $1 million.
Why I show up
Being involved in causes like this matters to me, and it's woven into how we operate at ALIGN Real Estate.
